paintings & drawings:   "My paintings and drawings are both about nature and of nature.  Typically, a base layer of spray paint over plant parts is used as a catalyst for additional paint and charcoal interplay.  Part figure study, part nature study, part landscape, the pieces engage ambiguities of scale and meaning".

The Stamford Advocate
L.P. Streitfeld, Feb., 18, 2001

" 'Immaculate Conception' appears to be a photograph, yet
is composed of natural materials - pods and seeds - combining movement with layering".

The New York Times, D. Dominick Lombardi, July 15, 2001
Commentary on "Immaculate Conception" and "Strange Attractors"
from the "Across the Great Divide" Exhibition at the Gallery at Onatru:

"The two charcoal drawings by Eve Stockton of Weston are technically and visually this exhibitions most compelling works. By using compressed air, pulverized charcoal, paint and some form of permanent fixative, she creates works that look something like what one might see while looking into an electron-microscope. As the public is becoming more aware of the molecular world, with, for example, so much being said and written about biotechnology, these works are both timely and beautiful".
